Sponsors

We would like to thank all the organizations that have helped support and/or sponsor the Center for Young Worker Safety and Health at GTRI.

Creation of the Center, the training materials, and the web-based training would not have been possible without the United States Department of Labor's Susan Harwood Capacity Building Grant. The competitive grant was awarded in 2011 to provide training and education programs for employers and workers on the recognition, avoidance, and prevention of safety and health hazards in workplaces of young workers. This material was produced under grant number #SH-20848SHO from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, U.S. Department of Labor. It does not necessarily reflect the views or policies of the U.S. Department of Labor, nor does mention of trade names, commercial products, or organizations imply endorsement by the U.S. Government.

Brasfield & Gorrie has been a long time supportor of our Center. Over the years, they have provided support by donating time, equipment, and funds to host contests, train young workers, and get the message about young worker safety and health out into the construction industry. We would like to especially thank Ms. Lisa Capicik, who has worked tirelessly to be a voice and champion of young worker safety and health.

A special thanks to Salon Doremi for providing the space and time to allow our team to film services being provided for our Cosmetology training. [hyperlink to cosmetology training]
